GVD CMS and VMS are both GVD's centralized platforms to safeguard a project with a group of NVRs. The CMS is a workstation that can be used by an individual to control up to 600 cameras while the VMS comes with enterprise- and multi-site designs to attend 8,000 cameras.
Both platforms are capable of processing large video with high throughput and fault-tolerance. All GVD NVRs can quickly scale up to VMS ("Video Management System") or CMS ("Central Management System") through your flexible add-ons of GVD products. Both platforms feature videowall solution. The VMS supports a massive 40-screen videowall with a multitude of synchronous live videos while the CMS supports up to 80 live videos on two screens. And these platforms needn't compromise with video quality in spite of huge video traffic since they use a variety of techniques to optimize live video streams, including TSE (Time Sector Engine), ROI, Turbo Mode, Adaptive Video Streams, Playout Control, Live Multicast, and subchannels.
The CMS hardware-wise comprises of multiple NVRs and a workstation PC that can be used by an individual. Software-wise the platform is powered by GVD's self-developed HD CMS, a collection of utilities to manage your squad of NVRs. All software comes with friendly GUI to let you jump seamlessly from the localhost to a remote channel, or from this function to another. 4 modes are featured to manage every aspect of the system: The Display Mode, Configuration Mode, Alarm Mode and Event Mode.
The VMS is hardware-wise a stack of highly robust hardware that includes, but not limited to, a larger group of NVRs, a management console, and a directory server. Software-wise the platform is powered by GVD's self-developed VMS Manager which works as the almighty brain of the platform. The VMS Manager features a variety of setting pages and operating pages to handle every function of the platform. For GUI, the software adopts a collection of enlarged graphics to present a modern look for better user experience.
